Eli is better than Peyton

In both SBs the Giants offense started on their own 17 and 12 yard line respectively with less than 4 minutes to go (less than 3 in SBXLII)...yet the defense let them march all the way down the field. Props to Eli and the receivers but the Pats D choked when it counted most.

So the fact that they were in position to win those games with only 10 and 14 pts scored up until that point reflects on who? Point blank 21 and 17 pts should not have been enough to beat those Pat teams. Offense had a chance to put the game away prior to those drives and to pull the game out afterwards.

For the record, big Giants fan, but Eli is no way shape or form better than Peyton.

Absurd. This is why I always hate the "Superbowls determine your greatness" standard.

Peyton is greater than the # of Superbowls he's won and Eli is worse than his #. Plain & simple.

Eli got him in the rings department and is more clutch then him but I don't know if I can put him over Peyton on the all time list. If he gets another ring I wouldn't have a choice though. But no way will I put Eli as top five unless he goes on an absolute incredible run these next 3 or 4 years. I still remember all the subpar moments he has had over his career too.

I clearly referenced multiple things that contributed to him winning two rings and yes luck was one of them.

only reason this is even a comparison is because they have the same last name.

Manning played well in the BMore game and if not for one of the worst plays by a DB I've ever seen and Champ Bailey having his worst game as a pro they win that game.
