Another Eli is fluke when he went up against a legendary dream team in the 07 pats which went 18-1 and defeated them with a tough gutsy play thread.

Eli isn't getting an protection, the o line gives up faster than the levees.

Well if you consider big ben elite i mean than you gotta consider Eli elite even though i think neither are elite. Just because you win a superbowl doesn't give you the Elite title. Eli and Ben to me are both inconsistent year after year. If it wasn't for a two amazing plays in the superbowls Eli wouldn't have those rings. However im not taking anything away from him im just stating the obvious.

I never thought Big Ben was elite but it did seem like he was a better qb at one time but there both just good qbs that were on some great teams

you really comparing Eli to them
elway isnt even on marinos level, hes overrated as shyt, look at dudes stats for the first ten years. if td doesnt come along and beast dudes career woulda looked at as a disappointment.

I agree with this.

They're in the tier after Brady, Peyton, and Breezus to me.

And that's not bad... :yeshrug:

There are only four elite QBs in the league (Brady, Brees, P. Manning, Rodgers). Him and Big Ben have always been in that second tier below them. Neither have ever really had the big number type seasons like those guys have, and like someone said before they still have those inconsistent moments will flash. If Flacco were to have a season like he had last year, but somehow manage to get another SB win he wouldn't be elite, which is why you can't just look at the rings as the basis of 'elite'

Yesterday, Eli got run over and back up by the bus repeatedly, and still walked off the field on his two feet. If that's not elite, than I don't know what is. That's my 2x 'Bowl QB:to:

The shifting never ceases to amaze me. The two rings and a credit to Eli and Eli alone. This atrocious start (which has featrued 8 fukking Eli picks in 3 games) is the O-lines fault. Funny how impactful and important teammates are when nikkas cop L's/struggle. I'm sure all credit will go to the O-line if they turn it around and win another SB. :rudy:

158tds and 157ints in his first ten years isnt great in any era. having 4 seasons of throwing more picks than td's, isnt great in any era. now after 92 he had six great years and im not saying he wasnt a good qb, but when i hear people act like he should be on the mt. rushmore of nfl qb's i have to :what: shyt wilbon thinks dude is the goat. the shyt just seems to be accepted because the media has spit it that way for the last 20 years.
