I thought it was statistically proven that hbcus produce most of the black "elite" in this country?

Talking doctors, journalists, etc?

I legit can't believe a mostly black site like thecoli would be alright if hbcus went under.

That's a lot of ados history erased, if so.

Cacs and c00ns are the people saying that.

Brehs who know and appreciate Black African American History realize how much of an integral part HBCUS play in our community.

That's cool, but what about them reparations Liz? Most of us don't go to college, so we need transformative policies for the group.

HBCUs and the Production of Doctors

Although HBCUs only represent 3% of all degree granting institutions in the nation, they represented 17% of the colleges supplying the most African American applicants to medical school in 2013. Xavier University and Howard University are also the top two producers of African American graduates of medical schools; their students accounted for 92 of the nation's African American graduating medical students, more than the top four Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs) that produce large numbers of African American medical school graduates combined [10].

Tennessee State, Alabama State & Jackson State produces the most black teachers

Jackson State produces the most black meteorologists

I think Georgia Tech produces the most black engineers, but NCAT & Prairie View aren’t too far behind them.

Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Higher Education Desegregation

40% of black Engineers, 50% of black lawyers and 80% of black judges HBCUs
About HBCUs | Thurgood Marshall College Fund

There's a lot of cacs and c00ns jealous because they never went to college saying dumb stuff in here.

Anybody that wants HBCUS gone basically admits that they don't want Black people to have ANYTHING in this country. HBCUS are the reason we have a smidgen of something now

Because there are far more PWIs than HBCUs :what:

And most HBCUs are costly :patrice:

Why yes brother barnett fukk facts. Lets not acknowledge HBCUs such as Howard, North Carolina A&T, Dillard, Southern, Prairie View, Texas Southern, Jackson State and etc produce the most black alums with doctorate degrees...produce the most black doctors and produce the most black engineers...:francis:

Yeah lets ignore that shyt and just run off at our mouths cause that is what is hot in the street.

Those damn HBCUs....we black folks could go so far if they weren't holding us back...:troll:

Aren’t you white?

What do you mean HBCUS are a antiquated concept? HBCUS are HISTORICALLY black colleges, meaning they were created because cacs wouldn’t let us in their colleges. Anyone can go to HBCUS. An HBCU doesn’t mean only black people can go there. They’re regular colleges, but HBCU in name & history only.

I can’t believe I have to explain this to someone who went to one.

And college isn’t a antiquated concept :why:

How the fukk are people who want to be engineers, teachers, scientists, doctors or some other specialized career supposed to learn what they have to?

Loans for colleges are a antiquated concept, not gaining knowledge. Get a grant or scholarship & you won’t have to pay anything back.

All this. I swear the IQ of this site is going down by the minute

I went to ECU (PWI) for undergrad and NCCU (HBCU) for law school. I appreciate my time at an HBCU and wish I went to Central for undergrad as well. The only people I see denigrating HBCUs are cacs who went because they couldn’t go anywhere else and black people who never went.
