A more competent (and relevant) anti-Indian response would be the settlements the Cherokee & Seminole tribes received in the 90s & 00s.

Both tribes received court ordered settlements from American courts and when they got the money they both looked at the Blacks in their tribes like

The Cherokee even went thru tribal court to delete the Freedmen from their scrolls and the Seminoles went on 60 Minutes declaring that the Blacks need to get off they nutsack.

Its business as usual. Nobody should be surprised that an established Democrat would not seek to give black people anything.

Yall need to understand the depth of white resentment of black people. Black people in America were meant to be tolerated only as an uncompensated labor force. When the civil war ended, black people still were resented because in the minds of most white people our purpose for living is to serve them.

That resentment has never disappeared. As long as black people are entertaining white people or working for very low wages white people won't complain. But the moment we start trying to build something for ourselves, and trying to get to positions where we can own businesses and schools that white adults and kids may have to go to, they lose their minds. The idea that anything prestigious or desirable could be founded by and operated by black people is a joke at best and a threat at worst to a lot of white people. The idea of them having to work hard to impress a black hiring manager or professor is something they'd consider disgusting and humiliating to them.

Reparations would be a direct acknowledgement of the exploitation we have been subjected to and an acknowledgement of the fact that we are full human beings that deserve to have a good quality of life and the chance to build and pass down wealth and businesses. Until white people let go of their resentment of us, and recognize our humanity you are wasting your time by expecting them to do anything that will benefit us if they cant benefit from it too. If reparations can lead to more black businesses and wealth in the hands of black people, I can guarantee you that white people will fight to the last breath to stop it. Just look how many of them spilled blood in the civil war. These people put their lives on the line just so they could own other human beings as property. Or look at black wall street or look at what they did to the black Panthers. Any time their hierarchy is threatened they have zero issue fighting and dying to stop it.

Ya playing yourself if you ever think that someone who is raised in a culture that tells them every day that they are better than black people and deserve more than us will ever seriously entertain the idea of us becoming equal.

Some of those tribes are still technically at war with the United States, never surrendered formally. What revisionist history is this? They been pushing for reparations just as long as we been struggling to get our rights as well.

That's why you need slave ancestors on both sides...

I had my ancestry done and it said I had 1% Melanesian blood which is aboriginals of Oceana/Fiji...but since they updated my ancestry it was deleted. I always wondered where it came from. My mom and sister had it too...it was removed from all our accounts. But then again, it was only 1%.

The issue isn't whether they deserve reparations, they probably do...The problem is they didn't want to start their own "conversation", and now you have white politicians who have never before bothered to discuss reparations now open to the discussion but trying to sway it on some "all lives matter" bullshyt... Warren and anyone else who does this can with that.

Elizabeth Warren is the only candidate I've seen who has been consistent in saying this,along with saying that blacks need to be repayed through money in some form at all. While not only saying it in front of black audiences for cheap applause like some black candidates "hint" at but rarely flat out say. Before reperations became a hot topic again recently,she has already been out here saying this country owes us in front of white audiences. So #Imwithher at the moment still,but I guess some people would rather cut of their nose to spite their face.Besides maybe this will get the native americans off her back who been on her ass about saying she was part of the tribe.
Give me a politician who genuinely seems like they are interested in giving black people a leg up or money when its not just a hot topic,or needed to be said for a black vote. nikkas setting themselves up to be scammed again by career politicans who just know what to say at the right time.

This needs some clarity,free blacks did have "slaves",but many of them had slaves as a means to own their family so they couldn't be taken into slavery,and to have legal rights over their children. I had to clarify because I remember seeing a post somewhere talking about how many slaves black people owned too in an attempt to obsolve white people,obviously made by a white supremacist. So really we can't say in what capacity the natives owned slaves either as many of us have family ties with the natives and has been stated many of us were already here and are natives.
