My view is the same as now. If Elon becomes owner of Twitter and wants to take it over and turn it into *****/Gab 2.0 that’s his prerogative.
It’s the same argument for those that want Twitter to allow right-wing disinformation to thrive on social media without consequences. These ppl that run the website can choose the terms of how their website operates.
If Elon becomes owner I’d flood every right-wing post with porn pictures and other violent disturbing images from like rotten.com.

I agree with the techies. Free speech should be limited to things said in-person where there can be some accountability tied to their words. It shouldnt apply to anonymous fonts on the internet.

some people forked reddit open source code to make voat.co a free speech platform after complaining about censorship. predictably it had a lot of racism , misogyny and conspiracy theorists yet a lot of people who still complained remained on reddit because they wanted the massive audience to recruit. digg.com has a ton of alt-right brigaders that would organize off site to submit propaganda. these people are unable to build platforms that attract a variety of people the way others can so they always end up trying to co-opt communities.
