Report: Broncos were concerned about Robert Griffin’s character
The Browns landed quarterback Robert Griffin III in part because no one else wanted him. Specifically, because the Broncos didn’t want him.

Griffin definitely was interested in the Broncos; he grew up a fan of the team. The problem for Griffin is that the coach and G.M. of the Broncos have ties that are too close to Griffin’s first coach in the NFL.

As explained by Mike Klis of 9News.com, the Broncos considered Griffin but ultimately opted not to pursue him.

“[A]fter making a few phone calls, Elway was concerned about Griffin’s character,” Klis writes. “Elway never did express interest in the former Washington quarterback who was the NFL’s Rookie of the Year in 2012 but had several fallouts with Coach Mike Shanahan, offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and teammates.”

While Klis never makes the express connection between Elway, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak, and Mike Shanahan, that link doesn’t need to made for a Denver audience. Broncos fans know that Elway was the quarterback, Kubiak was the coordinator, and Shanahan was the coach for the team’s back-to-back championships in 1997 and 1998.

This is the ish you take with a grain of salt

This is bull... Mike Shanahan still smearing the RG3 brand..

Griff wasn't a problem child or troubled player. Shame on Red Lobster for still playing these games with this man's reputation.

The only success he had in that second stint was the 2012 season :mjlol: because of RG3.. Mike still bitter

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Not sure who the Chiefs lost on D but ur right about Charles and Maclin. The fact that they did so well last year during that 10 win stretch with Charles out on a season ending injury is a good sign. I could see them being a problem unless Reid start displaying his excellent time management skills in very important games again :comeon::dahell::stopitslime:.
Lost CB Sean Smith

Sean Smith to Oakland: 4 years, $40M

LB Justin Houston to miss significant time

Chiefs LB Houston (ACL) could miss '16 season

Thought they had lost LB Derrick Johnson but I guess they decided to keep him

Sources: Chiefs keep Johnson for 3 years, $21M

Can't forget about those draft picks taken away

Chiefs docked 2 picks, fined for 2015 tampering

Damn this is more than I thought. Didn't hear about all this. Raiders got a good chance next year to take over. Gonna be interesting.

In the ocean where the sharks be at
RG3 doesn't have any off the field issues but I remember reading about him being a locker room cancer. Not a skins fan by any means but Kirk does seem to have the team rally around him more. But I agree Elway should've said he didn't want RG3 instead of going at it like this. Think he better off going to SF to work with Kelly.

Could just be locker room politics. Some dudes wanting Kirk to get the spot so they talk down on griff. Everybody not going to get along with everybody. Orackpo and some other cats tweeted that rg3 wasn't the issue.

He got a gig so he'll be aight

Broncos had the most black players in the league last year, didn't they? Y'all stay capping for a shytty QB. :mjlol:

Man I'm not caping for RG3 as a player but you've got to call a spade a spade

Mike Shanahan has had it out for him ever since he came back in 2013... He's been smearing his rep any chance he can get..

I hope he works out but the Browns just has so much bad luck especially with QBs. I hope he and Hue does well there too.

How many articles have you seen about why a team did not sign a particular free agent? Serious question, never seen this shyt even among players with actual character issues.
They really did if u think about it. Dude helped take a team to the playoffs (team was 2-14 previous year) and won a playoff game against a formidable opponent. BUT these other mediocre to below average white QBs have longevity in the NFL and still getting contracts and contract renewals but Tebow couldn't have longevity. Makes u think.

Shanahan is a fakkit with a vendetta, Im talking about the people trying to shyt on the Broncos and Elway/Peyton when just had the blackest defense in the league. Doesn't make any sense.
