At first I listened to the album on shuffle by mistake, and I haven't taken if off shuffle yet. I don't think the sequencing would even effect how I feel about the album, each song stands on it's own. I feel like I'm just reaching in the goodie bag, not knowing what I'm going to pull out next. After 4-5 listens "She Sucks" really grew on me. "Keep Dreaming" deserves a much better mixdown, but otherwise no complaints.
To play devil's advocate, couldn't that be seen as Elzhi's biggest Achilles heel?
No matter what you think of Lupe post-2008, just in that time span in his early career he's shown that he's a more versatile and accessible emcee than Elzhi ever was. He made one album that featured a good chunk of abstract lyricism and now you're trying to force him into a category like he hasn't successfully flipped many styles of rapping/writing.
And I'm not taking anything away from Elzhi's skill and songwriting talent because he's top of the line, but when nikkas hear Elzhi the first thing people say is "Detroit's Nas" or some shyt like that. Truth be told, Elzhi's best work prior to this was simply a remake of an all-time classic album by Nas. And that's no shade, but you can't can Lupe then go parading Elzhi as the shyt when arguably his best work isn't really his

- He didn't get attention on the previous thread so he knows what he has to do for the attention he desperately seeks: make a thread, about a popular Coli MC, and say something absurd that will get attention.
