DX: So tell us about the collaborations we can expect from the new album.
eLZhi: Well you already know I got all my peoples penciled in for this project. Black Milk is handling the bulk of the production and my man has a couple of features too. Ronnie Cash is on there, Guilty Simpson I'm hoping can get involved and a few other local cats. But there's a couple of features that when people see them it's definitely going to cause heads to turn. Heads will be shocked when they see it. Not even the deepest fans will see this one coming.
DX: Can you give us a clue?
eLZhi: Let's just say it'll catch heads offguard. I'm hitting muthafukkas from the left on this project. I got one joint which you'll see out there soon enough. We might not put the whole thing out but it's crazy. Really crazy. This project will definitely elevate me to that next tier you feel me? Fans just need to trust where I'm at. It's a good place right now. The project is maybe half finished and now that I hit that target I'm ready to make this a classic.
DX: You mentioned Black Milk is involved in the production. Are there any other names?
eLZhi: I have some beats by The Alchemist. I'm talking some vintage beats that I've been keeping to one side. Some Jake One beats, some Nottz beats, a few other bits and pieces. Oh and my man Kno from Cunninlynguists blessed me with some serious heat. The level of soul that this dude gets into his beats is crazy man. I listened to that Dirty Acres album and that shyt blew my mind. You ever listened to that shyt?
DX: Definitely, definitely.
