All the songs sound the same to me. Even the half decent ones suffer from some of Em's new rhyme style habits.

Rhyme or Reason has a dope sample/hook.. but he aint saying shyt, just flowing.

Headlights could be good if he delivered in a normal voice but instead he screams the whole time.

Legacy, has a dope third verse because he actually decided to spit a verse with multi's and shyt. Rest of the song is ehh though.

Evil Twin is the best shyt lyrically, but I really am tired of hearing simile/double entendre punchlines from Em. That shyt became corny when Wayne ran them in to the ground. They were never Eminem's forte.. and even though some of them are dope.. they come off as a forced attempt at him trying to follow the trend of how other rappers rap now.

And Since when is Em such a huge football fan? This isnt a complaint, just something that intrigued me. Dude never made one sports reference outside of Marty Schottenheimer back in the day.. now the past 2 CD's have tons of athlete and football team name drops.

He has always been a huge sports fan

Me and Marcus Allen went over to see Nicole
When we heard a knock at the door, must have been Ron Gold
Jumped behind the door, put the orgy on hold
Killed them both and smeared blood in a white Bronco

just one that comes to mind 1st

Did he have any sports references on Recovery? None come to mind. Although he did mention Roethlisberger on Despicable. I remember him mentioning Cowboys and Bucs on Deja Vu. He also dressed up as Tony Romo in We Made You lol.

But yea he's always been a fan of Detroit sports teams. The D in D12 copies the Detroit Tigers symbol. Around 8 mile he did part of an interview at the Detroit Lions stadium. I remember a few years back he and D12 were on TV around the same time as the Pistons were in the playoff - think they were at MTV awards wearing some Detroit gear or something. And my guess is that with his life slowing down over the past number of years he may have gotten more into sports (just following league and other teams in general).

Yeah on Recovery he says "I'm that logo on that Dallas Cowboys helmet, a Star." and he says "bytch I flow like Troy Polamalu's hair"

I actually did read some recent interviews that Em has always been a huge sports fan.. so your guess that him getting back in to following it more recently is probably right.
