KAT had backline help, if Covington were there to help space the floor Buckets or Wiggins wouldn't be there to help on doubles, and are you really going to act like Young Gawd didn't see a ton of doubles.
KAT was out there for 48 minutes, in those 48 minutes Embiid had 28/12/8, doesn't matter how you try to spin that. especially since the Young Gawd shut his shyt down on the other end.

How are nikkas disrespecting KAT in this thread like this? He's going to be a top 5 player in the game. He's also younger than Embiid and has less injury concerns going forward. Right now he's playing for a clueless offensive coach who has him taking the 3rd most shot attempts a game on the team despite him being by far their best/most efficient offensive player and he's STILL leading them in scoring and is the main reason why they're a top 10 offensive team.
Embiid is the better player because he's elite on both ends, but Towns is flat out more efficient offensively right now. Less turnover prone too. If I'm not mistaken, KAT bodied him when they played last season.

I used to think Towns was gonna be top 5, but not anymore. Even with Thibs coaching him he's still a poor defender. He just won't ever get it on that end of the court. I'd take Joel and Staps over him now.

Dirk wasn't a good defender and he was MVP caliber. Towns is elite enough offensively that even if he just slightly improves defensively over the next few years, he'll be one of the best players in the game.

He Eurostepped around him two times and made him look foolish on both I know he didn't hit only 1 more shot on KAT, and he got him in foul trouble.

See how everyone loved Steph when they thought he wasn’t a threat, that shyt changed when he started murdering the league and winning a few chips and getting mvps..
It changed when he stopped acting like an underdog. That's why people loved the Warriors/Curry, they were thought as of an underdog. Their attitude changed with the winning as they knew they were superior and as far as Curry goes, people turned on him for the dancing/mouthguard chewing/etc, again not underdog/passive behaviors that people love to cheer for.
So y'all really gone sit here and act like KAT wasn't locking Joel down everytime he had a post isolation. The shyt Joel was doing with the euro steps as a 7'3 big man is fukkin incredible, and the tale of the tape from those plays is that KAT is an awful help defender, we already knew that, he fell for the euro fake both times.
However, as I have always stated, KAT is a VERY GOOD one on one defender in the post and on the perimeter, he is actually underrated in that aspect cause his help D is so bad, people disregard his one on one D (rightfully so, help D is MUCH more important for a C).

KAT barely even guarded Embiid. If he's such a good one on one defender why the fukk did Gibson stick him almost all game? A 6'9" PF stuck a 7'2" C while the guy who was supposedly locking him down floated around aimlessly.
