You got the Nets and Knicks higher than the Jets? What about those two AFC championship games?
Nets & Knicks have made it to the NBA Finals (94, 99, 2003-2004). While the Back to Back AFC title games are nice, they didn't win either of them (should've beaten the Steelers), and they haven't been the SB in fukkin ages.

I’m on the complete opposite of the NY fan spectrum and I just wanna tell y’all it’s ok to quit on these teams. Even if for only a season or two until they show some competency. I basically ignored the Nets existence the season before Sean Marks came, haven’t watched a Giants game all year, and unless we get a starter or two — won’t be watching much of the Yankees next year either.

We don’t have to subject ourselves to this abuse :blessed:

Eh I don't think the Mets are THAT bad. The team is fairly young and I like the Carlos Beltran hire more than most.
The Mets are the now the team in the NLeast with the longest WS drought. You can’t be this delusional. All the other teams have won this millennium. Let’s not even talk about that hideous subway seriously the turn of the century .:mjlol:

I believe they call this being a 'fair weather fan'. It's not admirable ask around.

The Braves haven't won this millennium although they have won more recently than the Mets.

Nope, fair weather fans jump ship whenever the team starts to lose. I become indifferent once it becomes clear the front office is either too stubborn or incompetent. For example Brian Cashman if he doesn’t find starting pitching this winter, Dave Gettleman trotting Eli’s corpse out there with a fatally flawed roster and trading Odell, the Billy King era. I’ll happily sit through losing seasons if the vision is there

What's the difference between 'becoming indifferent' and jumping ship?'
And what you seem to be describing is worse. The Yankees are making the playoffs annually and you won't watch if the GM doesn't do what you want him to do? What if what Cashman does works? Will you feel dumb for not watching or tune in when it is apparent they might win?
