Even Eminem himself is in a bad record deal/has some confinement. Main why we made you is on Relapse when it didnt fit the album at all.

As someone who kinda tweaked the playlist perfectly for a front to back album, We made you does fit.

You got the Tonya Skit, Same Song and Dance where he's laid back in the pocket and still saying the most demented shyt. (top 3 song on the album)

Then comes "We Made You" after all that to cut the tension with something more light hearted. And if you actually listen to the words, it's him telling all the women that are going to hate him for the previous songs that as misogynistic as he's always been, it's their fault that he blew up in the first place lol, which is true. Not as fun to listen to without the video (like most of his goofy singles) but it serves a purpose on the album.

What DOESN'T fit and is a sure sign of interference was Crack A Bottle. It got shoehorned on to the album after it leaked and got some streams, shyt was wack and wasn't supposed to be on the album.

I got those two mixed up, you're right. Both could've been left off though/werent needed imo.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall and figure out what was going on around that time. My theory is that Interscope let Eminem do what he wanted until he could no longer make them money because of his drug problems. When Relapse wasn't the smash they were expecting, they cracked the whip on Em and ensured that he would never flop again. Even Hell: The Sequel, which sounded more like a follow-up to Relapse than Recovery did, had "Lighters" on it, and reference tracks with built-in hooks ("Above the Law," "A Kiss," "Echo").

I notice that since he came back, Eminem's better projects have been the ones that don't sound like too much thinking went into them, like he just heard the beats, wrote his verses, recorded them, and moved on to the next song. That's when you get Relapse, Hell: The Sequel or Kamikaze. They weren't made to please the masses, they were made for him. But when he doesn't do that and he's trying to have all these different tracks, you get Recovery or MMLP 2 or Revival.

Relapse is a borderline/could be a classic. Its the last great Dre production and Em was not human at all with the pen, flow and delivery. The accent wasnt even that bad/added to the album imo. Cats listen to rock and country music all day and dont complain about the vocal tones they use to get certain words and enunciations across. Rap should be no exception. Straight nitpicking.

after repeated listens and in retrospect. but that shyt was like :what::scusthov: initially.

If Recovery was an album filled with tracks like this, I think this would've been one of his best albums. Recovery is good for what it was intended to do -- get him back in the mainstream and sell a lot of records, but it was a complete departure sonically from what you'd normally expect from an Eminem album. So to most people, it was a "sell-out poppy album". That said, some of Em's most mature and self-reflective songwriting has been on Recovery, regardless of its more poppier nature. Going Through Changes comes to mind. I feel like as a songwriter, he was a lot stronger on there. Since then, he's been the "rhyme six ways to Sunday" guy and other than Castle/Arose, you don't see those kinds of songs from him that much anymore.

Music To Be Murdered By is probably the closest thing we'll ever get to a Relapse 2. Framed off Revival shows he can easily go back to the Relapse style easily if he wanted to, but considering how much the guy trashes it... He's not going back to that.

The intro to that album was hilarious. I loved it
I deleted the intro and all the skits. I like to pretend they don't exist.

I also deleted track 20, "Underground". Aside from the production the lyrics are "FACK" status.:scust:

Without those tracks the album is damn near perfect.:ahh:

i hate the hook but other than that this track was good
The rapping along to the melody thing he does i'm not fond of too tough either but he did his thing.

"3 a.m." is just an updated version of a song he did on 'Infinite' called, "Backstabber" where he thinks he's the Joker from Batman.:banderas:

Eminem needs to remaster Infinite.:mjcry:
