Eminem and 'Dre literally lifted Masta Ace' Blueprint for an MC and whitewashed him.

Can we shyt on Eminem for more legit reasons at least? The Masta Ace thing is old.

Let's talk about how he recycles the same songs and concepts album after album.....

You ain't never lie breh. Em's last solid and original project to me was MMLP. After that, his shtick got old. That's why technically, I have no problem with him be call a legend. As an artist though, he wasted his gifts IMO. Imagine Nas doing Nastradamus two, three, four times in a row after his debut and It Was Written? Well that basically sums up Em's discography. I like Em too, but damn what a waste. Too many debates about his lack of melanin, and whom his influences are, instead of questioning his legacy amongst eductated and true fans of the culture. He's basically the John Stockton of Hip Hop......legendary point guard, but no championships to show for it.

:ohhh:

I pretty much agreed with everything you said. Though I'll extend him one more. The Eminem Show he came solid IMO, the hooks were horrible and the beats were ehhh but I thought 'Business' 'White America' and 'Till I Collapse' were a bit different. Felt like he was trying new things. Again though, same themes and concepts in a bunch of the other songs.

He could have done more but I am sure the drugs and over exposure didn't help.

No championships? Dude was the MVP of Dre's resurgence, has the respect of the most lyrical legends coupled with mainstream success, Battle tested, diamond albums, and is still a platinum lock Damn near 20 years since his debut. Dude has the assist (putting cats on) and the scoring. Dudes winning streak is on some UCLA John Wooden ish.

You said not a word about any of that shyt actually being good. No one gives a damn about his success. He is shaq at the free throw line when it comes to albums and if you're a real fan of hip hop then thats all you care about. Dude you quoted called his music wack and you trying to refute his points by saying "b-b-but he sells albums" tho:comeon:

Given a choice i'm playing Relapse before TES.

I understand that the general theme could be off-putting but it's easily his best produced album and he was rapping his ass off for the majority of it. And not just on some rapping for rapping sake, Deja Vu, Beautiful are well written songs. I'd even say Same song and Dance is well written as a song even thought it's pretty :merchant:

That's actually what I would prefer his flow to go back to, he was in the pocket on that shyt, sounding nonchalant as hell while pulling off some ill shyt.

listen to this joint by Master Ace called Can't Stop The Bumrush and you can hear where all these rappers so labeled "rappity rap" rappers got that style from, including eminem.
