Decided to put that SSLP in the PC and finally rip it. I was 7 when My Name Is dropped. I remember that summer so vividly, helping my mom hustle in Toronto to put food on the table. I know my Toronto nikkas remebmer Kiss 92.5 FM and I fukk with this LP to this day. 4.5 Mics. Gonna rip Relapse too and peep it. Im gonna have to redownload/buy the MMLP and the EP though if I can find it.

What's yall favourite tracks?

Slim Shady EP - 4.5/5
Slim Shady LP - 4.5/5
Marshall Mathers - 5/5
Eminem Show and Relapse - 4/5

I'm Back, Murder Murder, Who Knew, Sing For the Moment, As the World Turns, Role model

shiet...my dude got classics for days :ahh:

Deja Vu, Medicine Ball,Hello, MY DARLING and Stay Wide Awake...come to think of it Relapse is still a banger  Only bad track was We Made You.
I remember the album thread on SOHH :pachaha:

This isnt a thread about what hes become
This isnt a thread about the whiteness creating his success

This is merely a thread recognizing him as one of the greatest, top 10 rappers ever and marveling at his revolutionary content, great flow, word play and lyrical prowess. Without Eminem (and DMX) there is no Schoolboy Q, Freddie Gibbs :wow:, A$ap Rocky (to me) and 50 Cent among others.

Respect him

In before the ashy retard dipshyt c00ns invade the thread and start hating on Em because he's white.

As for the thread topic, this is one of my favs from him:

Em is one of the best. A lyricist through and through that actually respects the artform, and built himself from the ground up.

I can see only see 50 cent making sense in this list, and that's only because Shady put him on... Gibbs is more Twista than anything, with that rapid fire flow that he has (Could be Bone Thugs, but Gibbs doesn't really harmonize as good as those dudes).

But how do you see Em in SchoolBoy Q and A$AP Rocky of all people? :wtf:

Can you elaborate on that?

Back when he looks like he really wants it. Still hope for a pure Hiphop album from him now tho, he has too much skill to waste.

To me schoolboy is almost an em clone mainly for his attitude and content. He reminds mr of eminem during the marshall Mathers Lp. Dark, but has the ability to be quirky and even a little introspective. Songs like Role Model scream School boy q to me. Schoolboy is kinda like a tougher version of em to me. Then you have all the pill/drug talk. (Typing on my phone ill comrnt on asap later but that is morr content...we all know hes more three sox and ugk like)

Yo', never was a thug, just infatuated with guns,
never was a gangsta, 'til I graduated to one,
and got the rep of a villain, for weapon concealin',
took the image of a thug, kept shyt appealin',
willin' to stick out my neck, for respect if it meant life or death,
never live to regret what I said,
when you're me, people just want to see,
if it's true, if it's you, what you say in your rap's, what you do,
so they feel, as part of your obligation to fulfill,
when they see you on the streets, face to face, are you for real,
in confrontation ain't no conversation, if you feel you're in violation,
any hesitation'll get you killed, if you feel it, kill it,
if you conceal it, reveal it, being reasonable will leave you full of bullets,
pull it, squeeze it, till it's empty, tempt me, push me, pussies,
I need a good reason to give this trigger a good squeeze...

i always wondered how eminem killed jay-z on renegades when it wasnt a battle type of track, it was a subject, concept track and jay stuck on concept to what he could relate too more. he hung with eminem without even really trying.
