Looking at his entire body of work, how would you rate his stuff?

I would rate it as "shyt"

No hate but it's complete crap. Actually, I take that back.. it WOULD be complete crap for anyone else to rap on but he sounds alright on that dark carnival type vibe he's always putting on.

Biggie and Pac on Em production has always been the epitome of

Jay-Z on Em beats has always sounded good. Renegade, Moment of Clarity, and my favorite 8 Miles and Runnin.

a joke. he ruined alot of those songs he produced. not to mention he ruined a few careers before they started with his sound(obie, cashis, etc)

I thought "Renegade" was odd. Don't get me wrong I was listening to it like " " when it came out but you give Jay another beat with the same lyrics and in my mind it would have been a lot better.

it was more of a miss with a few hits. out of 50 shots he hit target only about 5 times.his production started to sound the same way to fast.Em had no range when it came to making beats.

He had a couple good ones early on, but he got stuck in a type of sound. Since him and people on his labels are/were some of the most overexposed artists in hip-hop, the sound got played out quick. I can't stand his production.

I rate his production as ass. a lot of the songs he produced, including renegade, are only good cuz of the great lyricism on the songs.

however, I can't fukk with his beats. from nas, to 50, to jay songs. shyt ain't hot overall.
