now make an entire album with the same flow as this and Renaissance and the cac would be back.

Renaissance - Wikipedia

An album called Renaissance with a TES vibe would be dope. I actually liked TDOSS but there is no more need to revisit that persona.

TES was primarily Eminem the artist speaking, not the character.

I still say his actual last album for sure for sure should be called Finite.

Notice with Eminem

How unique of a piece of art this is

First of all, who else can even rap about the Grammy’s and specifically their relation to associated news stories about not showing up etc

It’s somewhat autobiographical, a chapter from that time in his life

But really who else can rap about whether or not the media cares about their Grammy attendance

Who puts that in song format rather than an interview?

Eminem and basically the whole top tier of the Interscope umbrella does a great (perhaps inadvertent) job of merging their songs onto the realm of almost cinema

I mean … look at Me Against the World essentially being the pre-posthumous album, as in due to incarceration Interscope/Tupac’s camp had essentially gathered all of the experience necessary to make posthumous projects. Music videos with no artists, etc. That album and the intro to it give you a cinematic look into the life of the artist

This makes me feel like Jimmy Iovine’s creative influence (maybe not involvement, but company culture etc) is more than we might believe

The main difference is the quality of the mixing. Eminem could still release the exact same song today but it wouldn't sound half as good. They even diffused his voice with a double effect, which makes the flow sound better than it really is.

The Eminem Show is his best album by far

The cutting room floor stuff like Stimulate and now this were great displays of his talent at the peak

This also led into the 8 Mile era which was his most potent shyt creatively

He really killed every single verse from 98-03 and then fell off for 20 years lol

MMLP is my personal favorite. Has a dark tone to it. TES was more of his follow up to SSLP. Hi my name is would fit on TES.

I guess I'm listening to a different song than everyone else because I can ABSOLUTELY see why this was left off of an album.

That beat is atrocious. It sounds like his earlier production days and the material, even then, was dated and played out.

It's a hell no for me:camby:
Nah you trippin', this shyt knocks on some decent speakers and above. Nice westcoast groove to it too.
