As somebody pointed out in this thread. Maybe it's just Em fatigue. Like countless trash and lukewarm albums, it starts to sound like hot air over semi dated beats. Trust, I REALLY wanted to see the hype since the album just dropped out of nowhere. I was expecting beats that don't sound like typical Em shyt, and Em just trying something new beyond his typical rappity rap shyt. Yet, I guess if it's not broke don't fix it:manny:

That's exactly it.

Em's rap style involves a high attention span too. After this many years it's hard to be a casual Em fan. You either are a big fan and you hang onto every word, or you'd rather listen to something else.

If you fukk with Em you'll probably think this is his best album since TES or maybe Relapse if you're a part of his fan base that liked that album. Some loved it and some hated it.

If you aren't a big Eminem fan (like me) you'll appreciate this and think it's about the dopest thing he can make at his age this far into the game, but you still probably wob't run this back and spin it a lot. I'm not gonna bump it that much but I'm not mad at it. The only constructive criticism I could give Em at this point would be to do some scratch hooks or maybe no hooks at all, stick with slower or mid-tempo beats, and try out some production from cats you've got right there on your team like Alchemist. Maybe try an EP or something with one producer.

This album is a W that Eminem badly needed though. I can already tell critics will like this album and mainstream America will fukk with it. And most hip-hop heads will at least appreciate this project.

This album is good for Eminem in the tail end of his career.

I hate it when rappers drop garbage and their fans are like “if this was a 5 song Ep it would be way better” :mjlol: bruh rap stars are never gonna drop little EP’s lmao so you can forget about that

Nas did and we all saw how that turned out.

But his stans and stans in general just can't admit when their favorite artist can't make good songs. Em cannot make good tracks without screwing them up either with forced corny lines, shytty hooks or just annoying beats. It's always one of those things when it comes to em. I like Ringer and Fall. That's about it. But I doubt I will be listening to those two tracks again after this weekend.

Seems like these are shots at a post of mine so I'll reply.

- I like EP's/shorter projects in general.

- The difference between this and Nasir is, he didn't drop a 14 song album where you could go, I like these, I don't like these. He dropped an RUSHED EP/Short album over production that didn't really suit him. You look at an album like Streets Disciple and you can see how if you crop some things and tighten it up it would be a stronger project.

Crop out Kamikaze, Normal and Stepping Stone and I fukk with everything else, Fall, and ringer especially.

But yea, more songs = more streams so I understand why EP's are more so reserved for underground cats.

The problem with that Nas EP wasn't that it was an EP though. The problem is that it just wasn't all that great.

There are lots of dope short albums and EPs in hip-hop.

But yeah I agree with all of what I bolded.

:wow:Exactly. I'm not denying dude's skills by any means but he seriously need to switch it up. He been doing the same damn album since Relapse. It's getting redundant. The same damn goofy whiny hook with some pop singer, the same bland county fair carny ass beats, and the same rappity raps. I wish dude would try to go a Infinite route since most of his fanbase be crying over some "real hip hop" shyt. Put the money where the mouth is by dropping a album with jazzy boom bap beats to see what's really good:mjgrin:. Yet, he won't because dude either stuck in a dead end deal, afraid of venturing out of his normal sound, or just stubborn in his own way.

All in all, the album itself is typical Em. Not bad, not great, just Eh:francis:

Poor Lupe Fiasco:mjlol:
Always gets left out when it comes to this Generation Top 4 King Emcees Kendrick, Sean, Drake and Cole

Even Marshal don't respect Lu:francis:

But let The Coli Rainbow Coalition tell it, Lu the Gawd is feared by all Emcees

Even Big Sean got props :mjlol:

This album is going to be forgotten in less than a week.
Eminem is way too old to be dropping this kind of music. Look at 4:44 and life is good and compare this to those albums...eminem is still dissing for shock value like a teenager, still rapping for too long over bad beats
He was always a rapper whose best work was tied to him being young, and it shows when he’s older because he’s still immature and corny

I don't disagree.

It'll be forgotten by us but I think his fans will be bumping it for the rest of the year. I could be wrong. I don't really know what the average Eminem fan is like in 2018 so I'm doing some assuming.

I basically just mean I thought his career was dead after Revival and now it's more like I think this is enough to get people to listen to another one if he decides to do one.
