That Ross Capicconi song was crazy, that's the only other concept track I've heard of his besides that I'm not racist shyt. I understand the critiques but the hatred comes from people thinking he deliberately made the conversation one sided in the white mans favor on that song when I think that's more a byproduct of him being bi-racial and having a little disconnect on the subject of racism because of it. I liked the sentiment more than the execution on that one.

Other than that all I heard was freestyles, he's very talented.
Yeah he ok. He spit hard on this track, don't listen to the last verse, Chris Brown is wack lmao

And this his best concept track imo and you can really here the eminem influence on this shyt.

Hate to touch on it again but Stepping Stone is great. Best song since his comeback in 2009.

THIS is the Eminem i wanted to hear for all these years: him rapping about real, relatable subject matter, no ridiculous serial killer tropes or corny fart jokes, no accents, no double time flow, no forced punchlines, no robotic flow/cadence, no choppy/fragmented flow, no screaming, no cramming a million words into a bar to try and impress, no corny acoustic beats with a pop star hook. Just Em spitting real and emotional shyt over his own great production :wow:

shyt brought me back to The Eminem Show :mjcry:

Dude needs to go back to making his own beats and rapping about subjects he's genuinely emotional about.

:wow:

That's the best one I've heard so far, that's wild.

Cambatta is another cat that I love where you can hear the Em influence. You don't have a ton of mainstream rappers trying to sound like Em cuz he ain't really a mainstream rapper, he just has the budget and enough white folks to inflate his sales.

The bold I agree with. We have really different tastes though, I love Relapse you hate it. You love Stepping Stone, I don't like that one very much.

I don't hate Relapse. It's his best post Eminem Show album. It's just nowhere close to the level of his first 3 albums.

And yeah we do seem to have different preferences when it comes to Em's music. Seems you like his zany, off the wall material more (which SSLP and MMLP supply plenty of in a MUCH better manner than Relapse lol). I love that too but I always liked his serious material better. The pivot he made from his MMLP style to his Eminem Show/8 Mile style was always :wow: to me.

Hiphop listeners are spoiled if an em album like this would have dropped 10 years ago it would have been chaos.

But now....eh unless he riles up some twitter beef or IG drama this is gonna be a flash in the pan.

I also can't name an album of the year this year sofar.... everyone trying to sound like everyone else or they just aren't good.

Em might win this by default....

hopefully lupe or Jay ele come through in the clutch

who you lying to bro??

this shyt is garbage in any era

halfway through the album and lyrically its way better than the last one, the “stepping stone” joint was close to vintage em but of course he ruins it with that trash hook, also this “not alike” joint sounds just like look alive (yea i know it’s produced by the same guy) was not needed , the title track is trash ... i haven’t heard anything single worthy yet but i am happy theres none of that rock sounding shyt in here ...
