Em is a better rapper overall but Joe can hang and would have wayyyyyyy more ammo.

Joe owned real estate on Eminem's mind for an opinion he had over a year ago. nikka finnessed himself into a no lose situation without spittin' bar.

And on the slim chance they were to engage, It would be much closer than the landslide victory for Em you're painting it out to be. Besides, we've seen clear evidence earlier this very summer that record sales mean fukk all in a battle.

You're right and I'm sure Em knows budden is not an easy target. But he did the exact same thing to Canibus which is why budden is in a lose-lose. Em called out canibus by name and dissed him in his prime and canibus faded into obscurity because he was scared to respond.

Luckily Joe has his podcast thing so he can still be relevant. But if he doesn't answer it is over for him as an MC. There is no coming back.

I don't understand how people can think Joe Budden could give Eminem the business when he's lost almost every battle he's been in. Punched in the face by Raekwon, roasted by lil B,multiple woman beating charges...

What's Raekwon snuffing him and him beating women have to do with his battles?

Let's be reality now that the joke has run it's course, Lil B was always a fakkit and his diss song was only funny because of that. And Joe didn't respond, so there was no "battle".

I can't think of an actual battle he DID lose to be honest. Him & Game were probably a draw, but he won the rest. Saigon, Ransom, etc. Drake never responded so that wasn't a battle

Meanwhile, Eminem has NEVER won a battle with anyone in hip-hop

Especially seeing how the whole Pusha T situation played out. He woulda been better of responding to Budden instead of a nikka that really had bad intentions for him. And to think he had like 3 or 4 more tracks that was gonna use up some of the ammo that Push had stashed for Drake with him getting lipo and all that lol.

Budden would be one of the few cats that could really break Em down like that. And you can't really build a diss track for him around all the L's that he's taken because he's addressed them, his career is a highlight reel of L's. But he's fukking nasty when he wants to be.

the more i think of it, i don't know who would win this one.

Em came at him with a little jab which could be just bait.

We know Joe can get very intricate in diss tracks but he kinda sucks at strategy and shaping the perception (although in the last couple of years he's managed to turn his luck around so maybe he finally learned about how it's not what you do but how it looks in this game).

On the other hand, while Em came in the game as a battle rapper, and is the superior rapper as far as manipulating flows and words, has he technically ever destroyed an emcee on wax? not even trying to be funny but the only one i can think of off the top is Benzino and he's not really an emcee.

Budden is better at crafting diss tracks. He also routinely has taken more Ls due to timing and poor planning. I also think both of their deliveries sound a little too forced at times but i'm nitpicking at this point. it's like they want to make sure you "get it" and sometimes it ends up sounding a little cheesy.

overall i think Budden got this if he responds (i think he learned from passed experiences) but i think he won't even respond so i probably wrote this post for nothing

i think he meant he's Rocky (the underdog) and Em = Apollo (mainstream favorite). I admit it's a weird comparison.
