Those both had poppy Production with adult/grown up content, but only one had enjoyable songs, people hate on Revovery a lot, but Talkin 2 Myself, Goin Through Changes, 25 to Life, Spacebound and even Not Afraid are way better than almost anything on MMLP2

funny thing is I remember when Recovery dropped..forums were convinced it couldn’t get any worse lol

Edit: add the ones mentioned with On Fire, Session One, No Love, Cinderella Man, Seduction, So Bad, Cold Wind Blows...unpopular I know, but I fukk with Recovery

Recovery had Em abandoning his Relapse rhyme style and going to Forever verse style of raps. He went to rhyming bars to corny pynchlines inspired by Wayne. I was thinking Careful What You wish for, beautiful and deja Vu would be the template for recovery and was disappointed.

This is a very strong album from Eminem.
Music and success wise he may very well be the goat in my eyes.

It's Jay Z, Nas and Em at this point.

Very great album. Especially because of his sobriety, focus and love for hip hop.

Him expressing his hurt at Snoop was insane. But he apologizes in the same breath.

Crazy.

What’s the point of having Alchemist by your side all these years if you won’t rap on his beats?

I saw Em and Andre 3000 teasing each other a few months ago I was always certain they’d finally collab

Guess we’ll never hear Nas rap with Em either

What did he say about Snoop?

And, as far as squashin' beef, I'm used to people knockin' me
But, just not in my camp
I'm diplomatic, 'cause I'm tryna be—
Last thing I need is Snoop—doggin' me
Man, dog, you was like a (Yeah) damn god to me
Man, not really (Haha)
I had "dog" backwards
But I'm startin' to think, all these people takin' shots at me
shyt, it's no wonder

I hope Snoop responds. I will check that out and the Dre track, otherwise not listening to 30 + tracks of Migraine Music. Thanks for the lyric breakdown @Crumple

Thank you.

But don't thank me, thank the rap genius website. I copy and pasted it from there.

MMLP2 was some bullshyt breh, Bad Guy and the Buckshot track are the only two tracks I can think of that were redeemable, that’s his 2nd worst imo

Eminem Show
MMLP
SSLP
Recovery
Relapse
MTBMB
Infinite
Kamikaze
Encore
MMLP2
Revival

Edit: had to double check the MMLP2 track list to make sure I wasn’t buggin, yeah...trash all the way through...Rhyme or Reason, Monster, Headlights, Love Game, Stronger Than I Was, So Far, Berzerk...Awful, Awful music

Edit 2: Ems discography has been watered down like crazy, 3 Great, 2 Good, 2 ehh, 4 awful

I thought I was alone on MMLP2 but that is one of Em's lackluster if not worse albums I listened to back then. It started out great but progressively worse as it went on and I don't know wtf Em & Kendrick was doing on that one track they were on...

Em imo has at least 3 classics in his discography: MMLP 1, The Eminem Show, & MTBMB Side A alone.

I been checking for Em's music since '02 and dude should have more classics under his belt but he fukked up Encore with songs like "Ass Like That" & "Big Weenie". Then he follows up that shyt with Relapse...dope beats but he's rapping in accents. Recovery was a real good album. Then he followed it up with 2 more bad albums. Then drops Kamikaze was better. The shyt is like a weird pattern with Em's albums.
