Eminem Remains in His Comfort Zone, For Better and Worse, on ‘Music to Be Murdered By – Side B’: Album Review

Guilty Conscience
Brain Damage
If I Had
Role Model
Cum on Everybody
Rock Bottom
Just Don't Give A fukk
Still Don't Give A fukk
All those are very listenable tracks.

The problem with Em is he became successful and it changed his perspective. He lost his hunger and instead went into this chip on my shoulder attitude and from there went into this complex but ultimately hollow raps phase.

If you go back and listen to Slim Shady LP he sounded like he was having fun. It was all goofy and silly and somewhat entertaining. The rhymes were simpler and it just wasn't so hard to listen to.

Eminem today doesn't sound like he enjoys it. He sounds like he's doing this to spite people that call him out for his decline. As he doubles down on the complex rhyme schemes he enters a death spiral where his music becomes less and less enjoyable.

Encore was to me the beginning of the decline he's never really reversed.

The Slim Shady LP is becoming more underrated as time goes by and I don't understand why. Even on here, it doesn't seem like Eminem fans rate it highly. It's always been one of his best albums.

Not listening to this album cause it’s been a hard enough year as is...but I’m curious to know how much of Eminem’s spins are comprised of “hate listens”? I gotta imagine a good chunk of his numbers are just cats giving it a quick listen when it drops to clown on it the next day. I wonder how big of a drop in streaming numbers his albums would see if all the “hate listens” stopped?

Some of the songs have grown on me on 2nd listen. Still a lot of skips. Get better beats, cock.

If he just stopped the punchline shyt, his shyt would be way more enjoyable. 1 corny punchline ruins a good song

This is really bad. The beats, the hooks and worst of all corny punchline after corny punchline. Discombobulated and Book of Rhymes were flames though. I literally cannot believe he rapped over that beat for Alfred’s Theme.. It was terrible.

The first few seconds of These Demons sums up everything perfectly about what people expect from Eminem. He’s in a lose lose situation regardless of how he raps now so he just does it for fun I imagine.

I personally enjoyed this album as he still has the fire to spit out rhymes.
