Those numbers for cheers weren't sustainable, Iovine wasn't gonna put any money behind another Obie Trice project so Em let him walk rather than sit there and rot.

Dude was just trying to put people on, he wasn't really worried about the back end and marketability, he just wanted to give people he thought was dope a platform. He was trying to sign Redman, Young Zee and Monch too but that woulda went nowhere commercially.
