That's just it. He actually did have different things to talk about this time. Police brutality ("Untouchable"), abortion ("River"), apologizing to Kim ("Bad Husband"), apologizing to his daughters for what his drug overdose did to the family ("Castle"/"Arose"). The only problem is that the execution was terrible and 95% of the songs here didn't sound like anything Eminem would make. This is literally the kind of music they play in the trailers of romantic teen movies.
At this point, he's better off making tracks like "Don't Front" and "Groundhog Day." At least with those, he sounds comfortable and more involved.
