I hear you but at 25 and later, you're pretty much taking a shot in the dark anyways. but next years draft is supposed to be a lot better so maybe he doesn't go first round. either way them days of him being a franchise player are over. I don't know if he has it in him to understand he's supposed to be a role player now.
For sure, the best approach for him would be like a Gary Trent Jr/Evan Fournier and accept his role early on as a bench piece. Maybe he'll get his shots in a couple of seasons like those guys did
You're probably right. A lot of guys in this recent draft (Peyton Watson, PBJ, Caleb Houstan, Max Christie) got picked because of their HS success and teams basically didn't care about their disappointing freshman seasons. The only guys who were highly regarded and dropped a lot were Kennedy Chandler (small, can't shoot) and Jaden Hardy (horrible start to the season, played on a horribly coached G-League Ignite squad)
