What's the story behind it.

Bates technically didn’t complete HS. His dad took him out of his HS and enrolled him in one of those fake academy HS programs that’s designed to be a super team. You talke bullshyt classes and get bullshyt coaching.

His dad is extremely demanding and doesn’t allow him son to be coached. And that shyt has created a kid who doesn’t listen, won’t take advice and cannot be coached.
