No one will address the fact that Empire's only interracial couples feature black men, yet it has much higher ratings than Scandal.

not only that but they're pushing a strong gay agendaI suppose on the surface, there's nothing wrong with watching these shows. I've had conversations with some of my friends on this issue (we're all 30+). The problem with these shows is that they're not exactly a positive source of media for the black community, which Black-ish being a slight exception.
Scandal has a chick getting it on with a married man, HTGAWM has the main character stepping out on her man, and Empire is just a mess. I hate to sound like the old head, but when I was coming up, the Cosby Show, A Different World, Fresh Prince were all television with messages to them. Sure there was light-hearted fukkery, and sometimes the message was heavy, but you got something out of it.
Just my opinion though. Live and let live.

Empire is actually entertaining plus it's kind of new with established black actors.
Scandal is like 5 seasons in, so it isn't surprising that people aren't all that into it any more.

Blackish is my favorite show on that list in first post. As a huge fan of first few seasons of Modern Family, I can honestly say the second season of Blackish is much better than MF, and if it hasn't achieved the success so far, it deserve all the awards MF has gotten.
Computer sucks, so I haven't been able to catch Empire. Will check it out before January. Just want to know what all the hype is about. Don't care for Scandal.
