They literally had only 10 days of filming left to do and it’s likely that the set is still in place so I get his point. Unfortunately for them, FOX wanted to wash their hands clean of the show after the Jussie situation which is fukked up as black TV shows on network television usually get cancelled without a proper resolution.

According to him, the loose plot threads were supposed to be resolved in episode 20 which goes against what Lee Daniels said that the shooter of Lucious would be revealed in episode 11. Lee Daniels also said that Star would get a 2 hour movie yet that never came to fruition, so I don’t expect Empire to do the same
