Lots of rappers have said they don't care about BLM or black issues and they are still popular. But really who is Kanter to talk on Jeremy Lin's pride about being Taiwanese. It's like if someone nonblack said why don't you care about this or that black issue. It's coming out of left field first of all and who's he to bring up the issue. If Kanter feels a way about something politically or something in the world, that is his right, but he shouldn't be trying to drag other people into his causes who have nothing to do with him. You know why people mostly let Kanter cook when he talked about his issues with Erdogan? Because he didn't try to shame everyone into rocking with him. For all we know, Jeremy Lin might agree with him, but it's not something so important to his life that he has to walk in lockstep with Kanter. He's there to play basketball. He's outspoken about his religion, helping children, Asian-American stereotypes and stuff. He's not the most politically inclined person and Enes knows that, but he's calling out because Lin is incredibly popular. He didn't call out Lin 2 years ago when Lin signed with Beijing. He didn't call out anyone who he may have been teammates with at Kentucky or in the pros who may have gone to China to do exactly what Lin is doing.


If I felt passionately about saving the tiger population and I called you out for not speaking out on it, even if you agreed with me, you'd feel so annoyed by me calling you out that you'd dismiss me and my cause.
