do you mean wedding night? because last I check it was free to get on your knees to present a ring. Rings can cost between $500 - $1,000. An engagement night is just a quick presentation, it shouldn't be costing 40k unless you're renting out the staple center, what are you a celebrity?

That's what dating is for? I was just about to say relationships and engagements are vastly different for other cultures. For blacks it serves as an excuse to extend dating.
