Watching this makes me wonder exactly how knowledgeable the guy in the suit is on systemic oppression and the depths the white man has gon in the past to intentionally oppress the black race. He seems rather clueless, which would explain his "bu bu but what about black on black violence" stance.

Gaining knowledge of the past is the key to change for black people. This is why they don't teach it. This is why they manipulate and suppress it. They don't want us to know the root cause. Being unaware of the root cause creates c00ns like the guy in the suit. Being unaware of past history creates a group of people who thinks that they THEMSELVES are responsible for their own plight.

This is a shining example of why its oh so important for us to learn about our history in this country and the tactics the white man has used to keep blacks as 2nd class citizens. The guy in the suit probably has little to no knowledge of the extent which is why his finger is pointed at black people and meanwhile Brother Jay is fully knowledgeable which is why his finger is pointed at the government itself.

Whenever black people of the US try to organise and better themselves the US Government puts a stop to it. The Prison system is used PRIMARILY to make black US citizens second class citizens at best and back to being slaves (free labour) at worst. The US Government killed MLK. The US Government brought down the Nation of Islam and the Black Panther and Black Liberation Movements. Within 15 years of making black American citizens legally full citizens, the US government started a war on black people that has meant more MILLIONS of black people are second class citizens and in the "system". Largely for selling drugs - when we aren't anymore likely to sell drugs than white people.

Yes the US Government hates black people. It tries to look like it doesn't. It allows for tokenism. It allows for some success for a minority of us. But do they want us to be as economically and socially powerful as white people? Of course not.

I will say, its a bit more complex than just a grand statement like in the thread title. The fed govt is subject to change as seen with the civil rights movement, women's voting rights, gay marriage etc. Its a tool that can be used by any side of an issue to push reform, promote new ideas, call for change, mobilize the public etc.

Cacs as a people are alot more difficult to change. With their influence especially in state governments & some federal policy like "war on drugs".....fukkery ensues.
