Epic Games' new game to be revealed at the PS4 Midnight Launch?

Mark Rein talking alot about this...I don't think its going to be Gears but something is gonna happen.

I don't even think it'll even be a PlayStation exclusive. It'll probably be like what Sony is doing with Bungie's "Destiny". It'll be a multiplatform game, but Sony will have exclusive DLC/Content & marketing for the game.

Unless Sony gets a good deal, Sony's not gonna be moneyhatting 3rd-party exclusive games like Microsoft, when it'll be just cheaper to make their own 1st & 2nd-party AAA exclusive games.

Gears is great but Unreal Tournament takes a shyt on it. It's a shame that the video game industry has abandoned twitch-based arena shooters for psuedo-realistic military shooters like CoD and Battlefield -- games that rely more on connection quality/speed than actual skill. If Epic's new IP is a futuristic, multiplatform, skill-based shooting game then I might get excited for gaming again.

Because classic twitch shooters don't translate well to consoles. Not just with aiming, but movements limited with controllers. And connection quality/speed would be even more of an issue with a twitch shooter on console

PCs would have to pick up steam again for twitch to make a genre-leading comeback.

Agreed but I'm just desperate for any of those games to comeback. I wonder how those games would do with client side hit detection. Every game like this has had terrible lag on the console.

Word I tried to play UT3 on PS3 and that shyt was just plain stupid playing with a controller...

I gave up real quick on that...

I didn't bother copping on PC either because that game just did not feel like UT ...They didn't even have my nikka Malcolm da gawd as a playable character...

I still fukk with UT99 from time to time though...It's crazy how many servers they still got up for that game and cash tournaments still going strong...

Why

I loved the fukk outta Quake III Arena, used a controller mouse combo (dreamcast) and I learned what could be so great about the Mouse/Keyboard combo
But it has to be games like that tho...

I had fun with UTIII on ps3

I like the fact that it's no bullshyt rank system & gun unlocks, just get in & play

UT2004 on PC was my favorite but I had fun on the ps3 as well

UT2004 on PC was my favorite but I had fun on the ps3 as well

Quake 3 on the Dreamcast was pretty good and the Unreals on the OG Xbox was good as well as far as console versions go..
