Same thing Darth Plagueis and his apprentice sought and did do later on. The Force being sentient tweaked their attempt and decided to impregnate Shmi Skywalker for reasons yet to be explained. Hopefully this show will clear that mystery up

Just finished watching this episode and don't understand why anyone would be upset. This episode has revealed that this show is focusing on the Witches of Dathomir. The Jedi and the Sith are featured but the protagonists are Witches of Dathomir. Like I predicted earlier they are exploring the concept of immaculate conception through the force.
