It was suicide by cop. The cops and the staff that was there with them actually did a commendable job of trying to help her. She didn’t want help. Just wanted to die.

Yeah, I just read what the family said and they’re mad apparently at the cops entering the apartment unlawfully. But then I gotta think, she was shaking when they came in so she could’ve died or whatever at any point in the future and I’m sure they wouldn’t be mad at officers entering then.

The problem is one of her friends or family were the ones who called the cops in the first place to do a welfare check

Indeed, but there are some lessons that could be learned here. Such as it’s probably not best to treat someone you’ve declared mentally unstable to the point that you’re going to take them to a hospital against their will as a sane person. So instead of reading their rights, it probably should become best practice to restrain them before telling them all that. Certainly would’ve kept her alive.
