Lack of evenly distributed affordable housing. Gentrifying 90% of town and sequestering all the poor people to a single block or area. Ie Segregation. Then over policing that segreted neighborhood and under funding the schools to ensure the people that live there grow up in the system with no real options for a better life outside of crime or having a special level genius/talent rare in the average person.

Whats the parents job in all of the above?

I'm not saying people who commit crime should not be prosecuted, im saying that the things that cause crime should be examined and countered.

If a teenager is going to a school where teachers are checked out, doesn't have access to counseling, doesn't have access to after-school programs or job training opportunities so he can make money, then gang life will appeal to him.

If a man is locked up and isn't getting the option for rehab services and job training so he can get educated and have something set up for him when he gets out, he is likely to go right back to crime because its fast money and security. We know all of these things, we been knew this and we've seen how when other places take a proactive approach to crime their rates go down and their communities are safer.

All hes telling you is "im finna give more of your tax money to already high paid judges, prosecutors and police" hes wasting the communities funds on shyt that doesn't work. Most of the people getting arrested won't even be the real demons, just the people that are easiest to catch like kids who do B&E's or who "match the description"
Most crime isn't some Hannibal lecter psychopath murder shyt. Its people robbing, scamming, selling product and getting violent on people who press them in their territory.

This is excusing crime. No one wants this in their community

Yeah, lets let criminals run wild and free, that makes sense lol.
Define criminal.
Does that include non-violent ‘crimes’?

People you say will run wild?
No put them in jail, have them come out with Very little money & a criminal record.
Then they’ll be wild!!

TLR often hates on republicans then defends republicanism.

Proactive measures are what work. Throwing more police on the street or throwing football numbers at people only teaches them how to not get caught.

Not spending on rehab programs in jail just turns the prisons into crime colleges where people can get better at their craft and more aggressive when they're out.

Unless you attack the roots of crime, it will continue. Most crime isn't some Hannibal lecter psychopath murder shyt. Its people robbing, scamming, selling product and getting violent on people who press them in their territory.
That’s ok then. We can all go home now :skip:

It does change the point you made

the poster asked you what makes a person murder another person and you start talking about systemic racism and other shyt

if that’s the case all poor people should be murdering people
But all poor people don't suffer from systemic racism. So i don't get your point.

Obviously Good parents will be more effective and Bad parents will be less effective. I having a hard time you are not seeing the common sense here.
How is your kid gonna join a gang if he doesn't live near any? how is he going to be a violent thug if all his local role models are upstanding citizens?
You don't believe that people are product of their enviroment? It's like your speaking accent, obviously your parents have alot of influence, but even if they grew in india like nap, if you grew up in texas, you gonna have texas in you in addition to indian. I didn't make some outrageous claim. this is common sense. If you want to place the blame entirely on one person not getting enough hugs fine. But there are plenty of people who didn't get hugs who don't shoot up the block too, because it ultimately takes a village. You will encounter toxic people in your life regardless of where you're from. Some people suck., thats not enough to explain an endless cycle of violence happening in one specific area. If you can cross a railroad track and suddenly feel safe on the other side, am i supposed to assume that bad people are just attracted the real estate on that side of town and thats why its more dangerous. Just by coincidence All the bad people moved there?
