He had non Hodgkin's

They are two different cancers

Hodgkin's is actually more treatable than non

Mario Lemieux had this

came back after 6 months and played for another 2 years (i think the back injury forced him to retire, not the Hodgkins disease) Then came back 3 years later, and played another 6 years.

That was in the mid 90s. I believe Berry will come back.

he has hodgkins disease, and not non-hodgkins lymphoma....which is a good sign. his is more predictable...they know which lymph nodes are affected and how the cancer will spread.

he's also stage 1, which means they caught it early.

his can be cured by chemo, and he'll have the best doctors in the country. hopefully that does the trick, but nothing is certain.

@Nima0614 correct me if i'm wrong...and +rep for the raider (health)care package.

you are correct
hodgkins is predictable in the areas it spreads , non hodgkins isn't.

Scary to think if he just "sucked" it up. I remember when I had severe stomach/chest pains and I sucked it up for so long till one day I thought I was going to die turned out I had a ulcer and hiatial hernia can never take your health for granted.

I said the back injury he had forced him to retire. He defeated the cancer.

thanks.

So if everything goes well, Berry could be ready by training camp.

the actor who played dexter had hodkins lymphoma and in a few months of treatment he was good to go although acting and professional sports are different
