I'm not looking for athletes to be incredibly articulate. It's nice to hear but their game and behaving themselves off the court matters way more.

In sports, I love seeing an educated brother speak well. It's kind of a big "fukk you" to people who wanna stereotype, but being articulate and being intelligent don't necessarily go hand in hand. I'm sure Bledsoe is smart enough.

He's doing fine. And he has a marketable skill. Meanwhile you can't string 5 intelligent words together with time to type and edit, you broke a$$hole.

yeah, his speech wasnt bad. He just said, "uhh, you know" alot.

But these dudes devote their life to playing basketball. Unless they're naturally a good speaker then some things have to suffer

I don't think he sounded that bad but this wouldn't be a valid excuse, sorry.

Even the smartest people stammer, sweat, stumble over words in interviews etc.

Public speaking especially with mics in front of you is not easy

He shy. I don't remember him being a bad speaker.

Wade is lowkey a horrible speaker. He covers it with confidence doe.

Yeah DWade's preposition game is silly as fukk. I was done when I heard him say on Oprah "...for I can play better" instead of "...so I can play better". But he said it so confidently like he was setting a new trend. But he does that shyt all the time with his contractions too, like he'll say "we isn't" or "he aren't", it's mind boggling.

Sound like a typical alabama nikka to me :yeshrug:

That boy from Smithfield and now he's a millionaire

What are these nikkas here doing with their correct English

Yeah whoever is providing him guidance is doing a good job, cuz you not gonna be able to teach this nikka 12 years worth of language arts, confidence is the key. He doesn't stutter, he projects his voice and he doesn't ramble, so I guess for the most part people let him slide with them throwed off participles.
