I'm starting to believe the theory of these new shoes having to much court grip, so many young guards hurting their knee's :sadcam:

Either that or an increase in steroid use, which may be more likely :lupe:

I seriously play in retros for this reason.
I'm 30 plus and I just feel more comfortable wearing the ones I used to wear back in the 90's.
:yeshrug:
Not feeling the Flywires and lightweight bonded materials or whatever and lowtops either.
I just tie my shoelaces up, need some padded tongue at least midtop high, some zoom or air max, then I'm good to go.

Guys are getting pushed to the brink of whats capable of human beings physically in terms of how big strong and fast athletes are today its almost not human

Had alot less of these injuries back in the day when pro athletes looked more like average joes physically then a bunch of Ivan Dragos created in a lab

:damn: The league needs to study what is going on with these injuries. I think some of has to do with body fatigue. I remember a report saying that knee injuries are more likely to occur in the 4th quarter. Russell Westbrook's injury was a freak accident from a collision film Beverley. Since then, it's been chronic. The others appear to be structural issues over years of playing ball and just too much grip mixed in with explosive movements.

I think it stems from the AAU circuit which requires kids whose bodies are still developing to run and jump too much. Your body needs rest especially when you are still growing. A lot these guys are young and grew up when AAU started peaking.
