Red fell off hard... last album was just some ABC shyt

He did and it’s been this way for a long time

It’s sucks to say too because he was so nice in his prime

But even when I went back and listened to Red Gone Wild, he was lazy with punchlines and metaphors and rhymes

Like me and @Awesome Wells said, one he started screaming Gilla House, it was over lol

Hope the album is dope. Been listening to a lot of E lately.

No Pressure is highly underrated.

Yessir!

No Pressure is one of my '93 classics!

His first two solo joints are classics, to me. Haven't stopped playing either of those since they dropped. E's run back then was CRAZY!

Facts and that Insomonia compilation :ohlawd:

Same shyt I told my potnahs.

Yessir

His run from 92 to 00 were the golden years

And even tho Malpractice was the official start of the decline, that’s the last Red album I acknowledge lol

Them Gilla House songs aside from the The Saga Continues on both Ill At Will Mixtapes were a mess along with Red Gone Wild and most recently Muddy Waters 2.

I don’t think I ever even listened to all of the Mud Face project in total

pretty close to a tee to how I feel.

MW2 was solid tho to me. The skits were severe overkill. Only one Erick Song too which is arguably the best joint on the album.

Word bruh

I think Red just doesn’t sound like himself anymore and i get it, no one stays on top forever. The clever, witty and amazing lyrics/rhymes/metaphors/ and his voice are all a shell of his former self now

But I’m happy he seems like he’s having fun and still enjoying making music even if it’s not for me these days

From a production standpoint that album is interesting in spots even though it’s not what we all thought a Muddy Water sequel would sound like

Yeah, he definitely should’ve let Erick produce more on there

I kind of agree bro. I can't even tell exactly what it is, because Red is one of my top rappers all time, and his style really doesn't seem that different. But for some reason it feels kind of struggle-ish now days.

Meth kept up with the times and is arguably as skilled with the pen and the flow as he ever was.

The AI video is trash too

El Niño is a better album than Blackout

@Awesome Wells

@Rekkapryde

What y’all think?

Blackout was real average looking back

What's wild is, I never thought about that!

:ohhh:

But it's definitely a more consistent and better album. Erick was still in his production prime, and I think Red did like one beat on it. So that whole album just flowed perfectly. Blackout was dope too, but the back and forth production thing with E, RZA and Mathematics kinda threw the album off to me, a little.

Erick's beats ate the rest of those beats up on there, lol.

Yeah since I been going back and listening to both albums religiously, I definitely think El Niño is far more consistent. Blackout isn’t bad but it’s just like you said, the back and forth production from E, RZA and Math just had it feeling uneven at times and I think E should’ve produced more of it than he did

Hell yeah, E was still dropping heat at that time

Yeah, Red produced the intro, one skit and that song “The ?”

My legends gotta chill with these weird AI videos.

I kinda feel like Mef might actually be a better MC than Red now. Funk Doc is depressing me again with these struggle bars and punches, lol.

Check this out, bro. @I love Latina women
It's like when cgi came thru in the early years and everyone wanted to make garbage videos with some artificial scenes
