Curious…where do you think AI is going?

IMO that ship has sailed. It’s here to stay and only grow larger

It's lowkey peaked in the short term due to capacity constraints. There isn't enough available electricity for widespread adoption and it still makes too many errors for big companies to fully embrace it. But they're not admitting it publicly because the inflated tech valuations would collapse. For months leading up to the release of GPT 5 in August it was being hyped up to be revolutionary but the main benefit was it hallucinates less, or gives fewer incorrect responses.

People gotta realize a lot of our legends need money. And clearly, the same vultures that they ran to for checks back in the day, still have them on leashes today.

They haven't learned sh*t from watching these dudes rape their pockets for decades. And dudes like Lyor know they can always pimp these dudes. Problem is, ain't nobody buying into sh*t today because Erick and Timbaland say so. They look like fools. Just like E does in that pic with Lyor. N*gga look like he got caught stealing in a supermarket.

While I generally agree, I think targeting Erick here may be a clear tell on how they want to do this. You're right that generally Sermon isn't the guy anyone is checking on for anything in 2025. But let's consider the cultural shifts in rap favoring older rappers. Most of the most successful rap podcasts cater to older fans. Budden, Joe/Jada, Rory/Mal, etc. Add in the flood of Youtube channels that get tons of engagement clicks by talking about Pac/Nas/Biggie/Jay every month.

I think they want Erick "curating" AI like a DJ, perhaps including remixing the Def Jam catalog among others. So imagine they shut down unofficial AI remixes on youtube, then start adding LL over Kanye beats onto Spotify or whatever the desired streaming platform is. And then you pump it onto playlists for the many older people who use streaming to listen to old music.

All of this stuff is going to be about repurposing existing IP to make additional money. They're testing it with films (Wizard Of Oz), why wouldn't they try music.

This is it.

Its peaked at the question/answer stage. Almost like Siri.

Now its figuring out what is going to be able to take 10+ years of data/information/nuances/experiences and create an outcome, like the human brain/soul

It is, but we don't need our legends going out like this

Cats need to start buying the music when it’s out…

Our legends have bills too.

If the product is top notch, why can’t u spend some paper on merch.

Erick Sermon is one of Our Hip Hop Heroes…

His beats have stood the test of time.

I can't believe E getting involved with this. I don't fuk with this AI music shyt, but AI isn't all bad. I just used AI to colorize one of my baby pictures from when I was 6 weeks old. My entire life, I've never seen that picture in color due to the orange tint from fading. AI hooked that shyt up perfectly, so it's good for something.
