I absolutely believe Shaq thought he dropped 50 in a playoff game before. Probably thought he did it multiple times. Might've thought he averaged it for a series.
Y'all gotta realize that championship level people (not just athletes) have a sorta confidence that is past delusional, where they're remembering even their greatest exploits and worst defeats at a much higher level than they occurred. Watch any former athlete's interviews, it's clear fans remember their careers/stats much more accurately than the players do.

This shyt was not set up. Well it was but Shaq wasnt in on it/playing along. The other day when Chuck was talking about Draymond and listed Karl Malone, Tim, Dirk, then tried to continue making his point and Shaq kept clearing his throat tryna get a mention. Chuck either ignored him or didnt notice and kept talking so Shaq interrupted like "OH I DONT GET A MENTION" Chuck was like "Shaq Im talking about power forwards specifically..."
So Ernie is just playing off Shaq's insecurities he shows often. Not sure he knows how to take it well, though lol.
