Think of a paternity test cross listed with databases of individuals around the world. Similar to that.
Of course not. The point isn't to overstate how accurate it can be and you're right about the development of certain ethnic groups etc.

before we go into detail here, are you bringing this up cause yuo've never tnought of this or do you think THEY haven't thought of this?I think there can be a number of issues with their test across databases of individuals methodology.
1. Who are these individuals? Are they actually Bamileke or Mandinka? If so, to what degree. Case example, Hausa-Fulani admixture in Northern Nigeria.
2. How broad is their sample collection? The only way for them to accurately prevent their findings is if they have gathered all ethno-linguistic genetic results in West and West-Central Africa (and Mozambique and Madagascar since a small minority of slaves came from there)
3. Is there actually a lot of genetic differences between say an Asante and a Fante person?
*If the tests state, "There's a strong likelihood that your ancestors come from such and such people. Additionally, your genetic tests may suggest that...." then I would have less of a problem with it. The way it has been presented in these youtube videos makes me skeptical.

Cause theres like a few years of coursework needed to even really have this discussion on here.
Napoleon, i'm bringing up these issues because some consumers of these genetic testing products may not be fully aware of the various circumstances involving genetics, ethnicity and methodology with these products. Furthermore, the some of the creators of these products may be aware of these issues, but might not care enough to fully inform consumers about their limitations.
If there's a grain of truth about the accuracy of these tests, that's great. Nonetheless, awareness regarding the limitations of genetic testing pertaining to people who are as racially and ethnically mixed as black people in the U.S. should be spread.
You know it was a black man that invented dirt, real talk.DNA isn't invented, idiot. It was discovered, and ONE of the two guys was a racist and is clearly wrong. Most Nobel prize winners become weirdos afterwards because they tend to believe anything they do. Additionally, there was a woman who played a role in the discovery that never got any credit
