When you hear that beat; you kinda wanna hear G Rap and not singer even if that singer happens to be Badu disappointing first single.

Has Alchemist done much work with R&B singers over the years? I remember that song he did on Styles' album feat. Angie Stone which is dope. But other than that off the top my head I can't think of anything else?

He saw Knxwledge win a Grammy with Anderson Paak and wants in on that lane, but Knx BEEN making r&b beats, they aren't equals in that regard

And this is where Alc will fukk up :snoop: . KNX beats are a different breed compared to Alc's.

KNX got this distant, soulful sound that meshes well with somebody like Paak and others. Alc is more gritty and grimey for a singer to mesh well with. The "Hold You Down" track comes close to an R and B sound, and it was all hooks from the jawns.

With that being said, I liked the track with Badu but its all bias since that sample is nasty AF :wow:

I think they’ll at least get a nomination because it’s Erykah Badu and there’s not too much competition out here. That’s if they put the album if for Grammys
