As they should. Especially given that Alc has established himself as a dope curator of art. He always has dope album covers from doper artists. His videos look good. So to go from that to AI slop is wild to me and many others. On some level I get why someone so heavily invested in tools/programs/etc to create art would view AI as just another tool or program to create art with. But there's a stark difference between using tools/programs for human expression and using AI to imitate art. It's wack shyt and I have a feeling a lot of people we respect are about to show their ass on this topic.
He eventually said he had nothing to do with the album art

Come on. Premo was making r&b joints long before. There's a long precedent for "real rap" producers getting into r&b and it has nothing to do with Knxledge (who I fukk with obviously). Badu approached Alc about working, not the other way around. And she's worked with multiple rap producers before (Dilla, Madlib, 9th Wonder, etc).

The album will be good, I still believe that. They simply fukked up this introduction - both the track and the AI art fukk up. I'm sure the course correction will be dope.
I didn't say the nikka Knx established the lane wtf is wrong with y'all's reading skills, just making up shyt jumping to wild conclusions instead of reading the words in front of your face

I said he JUST seen this man win a Grammy (without having to deal with typical rap bullshyt) and got inspired to move that way himself with a r&b artist, producers do shyt like that all the time

All the rest of that shyt you just made up cuz I never said it, I know badu listens to alot of dusty rap and the producers in that lane you not providing any new information here :mjlol:

he's been on that passive aggressive/doubling down shyt on twitter for the longest when it comes to any kind of tough question, but stays interacting/asking for it

Yeah I’ll definitely say this. The single feels like something you’d see at a live show. Or a bonus cut. Almost feels like a mashup. Weird first impression. I feel like Badu must’ve really wanted to sing on that beat. Almost feels like she’s freestyling too. But I like the other song they posted on Amazon and the snippet on Instagram still sounds fire.

But Alc won a Grammy with Paak before Knx did. Doing r&b too.

Good point, it def feels like an (official) mash up or blend. I forgot who said it but apparently Badu will have her assistant pull up all the major beats a producer made and she'll listen to them while deciding if she wants to work with you. I can def imagine her hearing The Realest and it resonating with her enough to want to sing over it. Which is fine, I have no issue with her creative process. I just was disappointed by the track.

Like I said...still super excited for the album.
