Honestly, I'm rolling with Occam's Razor. The single was mid and the feedback was appropriate and they (Badu) either went back to the drawing board or moved on :manny:

Badu admitted to requesting to sing over that sample but man...that shyt was not good at all. And I don't get why they thought it was the best idea for a single. Then you bring in the AI video shyt and the whole thing has been a disaster.

It should've been a demo track they did to get a feel for each other that we would've never heard until The Cutting Room 4 dropped

Mercury might need to fall into retrograde or Badu might need to harness lapus lazuli or some shyt before we get to hear anything again

Mos Def is passed out on a couch in San Marino and prolly forgets ever agreeing to this

Yeah, I liked it. I didn't get the hate.

The hate came because we wanted to know what Badu & Alchemist would sound like then they gave us a rehash of The Realest.

I agree the song wasn't necessarily bad it was just a bad introduction. If the song was on the album as a bonus and not the lead single it would've gone over better.

Mos and Badu are some lazy and moody ass nikkas

:manny:
Erykah, like D’Angelo, seems to work and perfect shyt non-stop. I wouldn’t ever include her in the lazy category.

I don’t know what the fukk Mos be on. I’m not even mad at her shyt because history tells me she’s and AL are probably improving the product or fighting to clear samples.

Her and AL actually skeeted out some music. Mos’ shyt is probably still at the conceptual stage lol

Badu ain’t released a solo studio album since 2010, she lazy and moody, bruh lol

Alchemist never has issues getting albums out that he produces. It’s no coincidence that the minute Alchemist links with both Badu and Mos Def, neither album comes out

It’s Badu and Mos. Them nikkas be in their own time, in their own world on some other shyt.

I been a long time fan of both of them but I see thru the bullshyt

Two bums.

Just wild unprofessional all the damn time, and don’t give a sh*t about their fans. If they even have any left, at this point, lol. Mos does crazy unprofessional sh*t with his shows, and then gets mad at the fans for not liking it, lol.

Both of them came into their careers on fire and got a lot of early hype right out the gate. I think that kinda success too fast makes a lot of these headwrap artists too entitled. Mos, Badu, Lauryn, etc. All a nightmare to deal with, but seem to think they're above criticism for the crazy sh*t they do. It's wack.

Exactly

I couldn’t have said it any better

Mos, Badu and Lauryn all seem to act like their shyt don’t stink

They’d rather come off as “mysterious” with bohemian clothes, incense, and bougie attitude than actually make music and release it

It’s ironic, the artists they love and idolize, consistently put out work and yet they don’t. They’d rather rely on portraying to be this amazing artist than actually being a great artist
