Exactly

I couldn’t have said it any better

Mos, Badu and Lauryn all seem to act like their shyt don’t stink

They’d rather come off as “mysterious” with bohemian clothes, incense, and bougie attitude than actually make music and release it

It’s ironic, the artists they love and idolize, consistently put out work and yet they don’t. They’d rather rely on portraying to be this amazing artist than actually being a great artist

Truth! It's wild when you realize that Lauryn literally only has ONE album.

All that hype and talk about her supposedly being the GOAT, and she ain't do sh*t but drop one project. And even on that one, she got sued for stealing and not paying the people who wrote and produced pretty much the whole joint, lol.

There's a lot of overinflated egos with these artists who really haven't dropped a lot of music, but for some reason act like they're always the victims when they get called out for being trash people and weirdos.

Badu ain’t released a solo studio album since 2010, she lazy and moody, bruh lol

Alchemist never has issues getting albums out that he produces. It’s no coincidence that the minute Alchemist links with both Badu and Mos Def, neither album comes out

It’s Badu and Mos. Them nikkas be in their own time, in their own world on some other shyt.

I been a long time fan of both of them but I see thru the bullshyt

:manny:
Unlike Mos she actually tours and creates constantly. She’s always playing random new shyt at shows and creating with others, including her backing band, even if it never officially releases. Some of these artists y’all call lazy are working damn near non-stop, they just are extremely picky about what they put out. It’s why the shyt they actually do release is great 9 times out of 10. They legit perfectionist to the point of pissing consumers off.

Mos just be hiding from anything and everybody lol. That’s the “moody” nikka lol. I imagine they had to capture and waterboard that nikka to create and release that last Blackstar album lol. He could be considered “Lazy”. I don’t even know if he actually creates anything anymore. The few people I have any kind of relationship with never see him lol. I’ve only ever seen him once at an event (I’m in no way, shape, fashion, or form in the music industry) and it was a fleeting glance. He dapped nikkas up and disappeared.

I wouldn't really be that mad if they had just announced they were doing the album and they were just taking their time working on it. If anything, sometimes I think Alchemist's projects could do with a little more time in the kitchen. Some of his joints seem to be thrown out in raw first draft form, which can be dope too, but I'm interested to hear a project of his that is a bit more labored over and brings some live instrumentation in.

But the problem is these mfs literally had listening parties, release dates set, running PR interviews, the whole thing was set to come out. Then it just disappears into the ether never to be mentioned again. Just a weird situation and with how many Alchemist releases we get without any problems or delays, then I think we can guess who all this falls on.

Still, I think Al should be attempting stuff like this outside his comfort zone. The Mos project is whatever....we all knew that shyt was gonna be 23 minutes long with Mos sleep walking through verses that sound like they've been recorded in a telephone booth. Bro has completely given up so I don't even really care anymore.

Two bums.

Just wild unprofessional all the damn time, and don’t give a sh*t about their fans. If they even have any left, at this point, lol. Mos does crazy unprofessional sh*t with his shows, and then gets mad at the fans for not liking it, lol.

Both of them came into their careers on fire and got a lot of early hype right out the gate. I think that kinda success too fast makes a lot of these headwrap artists too entitled. Mos, Badu, Lauryn, etc. All a nightmare to deal with, but seem to think they're above criticism for the crazy sh*t they do. It's wack.

I don’t know if ANYBODY actually has any idea what the fukk Lauryn be up to. I don’t thing she makes a fukking thing anymore. I don’t even bother trying to buy tickets to anything involving her because I have no clue if she’s show up or not.

I understand why she tours, cause that’s where she makes her money along with her merchandise

But she should take some of that time to actually release new music instead of singing the same old songs lol

Mos Def been stopped caring a long time ago and it shows by how he releases his music, how a lot of the music sounds and his lack of activity

I wouldn't call Erykah lazy. She's always creating new material and doing shows. She performs new music all of the time at her shows. She's actually said numerous times that she hates performing a lot of the popular songs, because they detract from some of her other great work - but that's what the fans be wanting. Now her officially releasing music is a different story, but she's not lazy in the case of writing and making new music.

Niqqaz act like they are owed music. You're fukking not, sit down, read a book and wait for when people are ready to share their creations. It's on their time table not yours.

Stop it.

No one is acting entitled for asking where's the album that they promoted and announced release dates for.

They said August 29th and we're about to be in 2026 yet you're acting like the people asking when are in the wrong :mjlol:

Sure they are, casting judgement and aspersions because it didn't drop. And mind you the same people shyt all over the single!

"What you gave me I didn't like so give me more!"

Release dates changing is nothing new in the music industry so it's no reason to get your panties in a bunch.

If they just said they're working on an album you'd have a point. They announced a date and when the day came there was no album. They didn't say why nor did they change the date. They ghosted everyone.

Alchemist doesn't flake on his audience. The only projects of his to have release dates and not drop are from Badu and Mos. We know who to point fingers at.

You're acting like people were rioting. All anyone said was you can't trust these specific artists who tease new music but don't release it.

You can't announce release dates, not drop, not announce another date, and then pull a "it's ready when it's ready" excuse.

No people are calling them lazy and unprofessional. Read the thread.
Release dates are announced all the time and they get pushed back. What are you talking about?
We're still waiting for Iceman, Anderson Paak and Knowledge took forever to drop the No Worries album last year, Where's J. Cole's album?
To act like this is unprecedented is false.
