This thing is priced perfectly and plays on nostalgia with the design. It's not winning because it's the best MPC. The live is still better overall but this thing is portable and fun. You don't have a bunch of synths and vsts just some samples. Simplicity is winning here in many aspects. They got it right.akai went so hard with the marketing for this shyt
Teenage engineering, Roland both failed to simplify their similar products. This joint is about getting straight to banging pads. As someone who has literally spent summers traveling with a laptop to chill outside and make music I will be putting the MPC sample to use this summer and most importantly is people are approaching it from a fun aspect. I'm not getting this to sell beats or anything. Pure please and hobby tool and a great price. They knocked it out the park. Companies forget how to be in this space retail wise by always chasing higher price points. When the could leverage volume of sales by giving value at a good price. shyt isn't rocket science.
