akai went so hard with the marketing for this shyt
This thing is priced perfectly and plays on nostalgia with the design. It's not winning because it's the best MPC. The live is still better overall but this thing is portable and fun. You don't have a bunch of synths and vsts just some samples. Simplicity is winning here in many aspects. They got it right.

Teenage engineering, Roland both failed to simplify their similar products. This joint is about getting straight to banging pads. As someone who has literally spent summers traveling with a laptop to chill outside and make music I will be putting the MPC sample to use this summer and most importantly is people are approaching it from a fun aspect. I'm not getting this to sell beats or anything. Pure please and hobby tool and a great price. They knocked it out the park. Companies forget how to be in this space retail wise by always chasing higher price points. When the could leverage volume of sales by giving value at a good price. shyt isn't rocket science.

Jermaine Dupri was kinda talking about how it was messing up and not saving and no other producer was cosigning him other than Jazzy Jeff saying he was having problems with his, so yeah it's hush $ going out

No hush money involved.

Jermaine didn't read the manual and was doing something he was accustomed to doing on the other MPC's that doesn't work the same in the Sample. People were in his comments telling him the proper way to do it.

It just launched so there's going to be a few kinks that will need to be worked out with firmware updates just like every device.

The Truth
The sheer number of reviews from obvious shills in my Youtube algorithm is sickening. With a one track sequencer, this shyt is nothing but a glorified toy.
I mean compared to their other shyt I would assume so

$400 is a wild price

Like we’re supposed to believe Jermaine dupri, jazz Jeff or others are all sitting in them big ass studios using the sample while the MPC 60, 2000, 2000xl, 3000, live 3, and XL are all sitting right next to them

Sure Ty $ :unimpressed:

I believe they are. The main draw is portability and it's small, light and battery operated and can be attached to your phone so I definitely believe they are using it when traveling.

I don't think it's designed to be the centerpiece of your studio more like a scratchpad on the road for those who don't want to use their phone or laptop

When she had the initial loop going, I thought she was working with something. The finished product was on par with that Rza trash can beat.

nah dont leave it to him either. i remember that guitar center video :scust:

god bless the MPC. its still hard enough that most people leave it the fukk alone. she might do better with fruityloops and some quantization

i hate how low the barrier of entry to music is these days. erykah is talented but she aint no Premo lol... stay in your lanes
Still one of the funniest videos on Beyoncé’s internet :dead:

I appreciate the release and think it’ll be a steal once used ones are on the market for ~$300

The marketing is just way over the top, got nikkas typing soliloquies on the gram about it. nikka please lol.
