I didn't watch his career as it happened....which is why I'm asking .

Who gives a fukkkkk on what a handful of cacs opine to be influential. If this were really about "influence" (as distinct from skill or talent), Kobe and Yao Ming would easily be top 10 and possibly top 5 based on making basketball a glorified activity to hundreds of millions in China alone.

The list clearly says players, yet they have a group of guys on there getting a huge bump for what they did while coaching. That is coaching influence, not player influence.
I’d expect even the remedial fuccs at ESPN to be able to grasp this concept but clearly my expectations were too high.
