Beltran vs Moses: Fighters make weight for ESPN main event
Ray Beltran and Paulus Moses are good to go for Friday’s title bout.
By Scott Christ Feb 15, 2018, 6:40pm ESTSHARE
Tomorrow night on ESPN, the vacant WBO lightweight title will be on the line, as Ray Beltran faces Paulus Moses in the main event from Reno, Nevada. The fighters weighed in today, and there were no problems, so the fight is 100 percent on.

Namibia’s Moses (40-3, 25 KO) weighed in at 134 pounds, while Beltran (34-7-1, 21 KO) came in at 134½, both under the limit of 135 pounds.

The title was most recently held by Terry Flanagan, who has moved up in weight to 140 pounds, and will fight for the vacant WBO belt in that division on April 14, against Maurice Hooker.

This is also Beltran’s fourth shot at this same belt, and this time he’s fighting for much more than just the belt, too.

In the co-feature, welterweights Egidijus Kavaliauskas and David Avanesyan both made weight. Their bout will be for Kavaliauskas’ NABF title, and is set for 10 rounds. Kavaliauskas (18-0, 15 KO) weighed in at 146½, with Avanesyan (23-2-1, 11 KO) at the limit of 147 pounds.
