Barry fukking Switzer

Didn't Switzers son play at Grambling or something?
People will recall that Doug Switzer, son of former Oklahoma and Dallas Cowboys coach Barry Switzer, considered playing at Langston in 1995. Doug Switzer, who started his career at OU, wound up at historically black Arkansas-Pine Bluff in 1995 and helped that team to the NAIA semifinals.
A top 10 list of the greatest college football coaches of all-time was released last week. It included Bear Bryant, Joe Paterno, Bobby Bowden, Bud Wilkinson, Knute Rockne, Eddie Robinson, Alonzo Stagg, Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler and Tom Osborne.
Barry Switzer went head-to-head with five of those coaches. In terms of sheer numbers, it's not even close. He finished with an 18-5 record a .783 winning percentage.
Switzer was 1-0 against Paterno, Schembechler and Hayes. He was 3-0 against Bowden. He was 12-6 against Osborne, who was almost run out of Lincoln after losing to Switzer in seven of their first eight meetings.
For kickers, another Switzer was 1-0 versus Robinson. But it was Doug Switzer Barry's son who quarterbacked Arkansas-Pine Bluff to a win over Robinson's Grambling Tigers.
Whispers from the "Left Coast tell us there are not many sports fans in the Los Angeles market who care much for the Sooners. But barring a surprise, it'll be their beloved USC Trojans against Oklahoma in a national title showdown.
The game would have a lot of appeal. Traditional powers would go at it. And the two best coaches, two best quarterbacks and two most dangerous runners in the college game would go head to head.
It would be an OU program that in the last five years had played in three national championship games and could win its second against a USC team trying to win back-to-back titles.
