Bron is running the team, and there's not much Blatt can do except coach on egg shells, because he knows if he handles Bron like any other player that undermines his position and authority that he'd be out on his ass. Unless Bron gets what he wants, there'll always be a power struggle in Cleveland. It's a shame that he won't take the mascara and heels off because he's got potentially one of the best coaches in the league on his team - coaches with his experience/accolades/hunger don't come around very often.

That works both ways - organizations aren't just gonna bring in a coach midway through a season who's someone that's perceived as upsetting 'team culture' and/or can't 'handle' star players properly. So where does Blatt go after getting fired? He didn't travel halfway across the world to turn back at the first sign of defeat.

Going at Bron isn't a win/win. It's a lose/lose. Blatt doesn't want to get fired, I highly doubt that he'd give up on his first challenge in the NBA (40 games in) that easily, just because of some diva ass nikka. They're both bluffing to see who folds first, except Bron is holding all the cards in the deck and the ones that Blatt has have nothing on them.
